May 30, 2025We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Ranked Mode in WordDuel.io – the ultimate test of your word-guessing prowess! This new feature lets you battle against players in real time and climb your way up the competitive leaderboard. With every guess, every match, and every win, you earn your spot among the elite word warriors of the WordDuel community.
So, how does it work? Ranked Mode matches you with opponents at a similar skill level using a dynamic Elo-based ranking system. This ensures that games remain challenging but fair, providing an intense and rewarding experience. As you win matches, your rank goes up. Lose, and your rank may drop – every decision counts!
But Ranked isn’t just about winning. We track in-depth stats including total wins, losses, your average number of guesses per word, and the time you take per guess. These metrics give you powerful insight into your performance, helping you identify your strengths and weaknesses. Want to improve your speed? Keep an eye on your average time. Struggling with consistency? Your win/loss ratio will show your progress over time.
The Ranked experience is designed for those who thrive on competition. Whether you're a casual word game fan looking for a new challenge or a seasoned strategist hungry for the top spot, Ranked Mode is the place to test your mettle. Every match is a chance to rise, learn, and assert your dominance in the WordDuel arena.
In addition to personal stats, our global leaderboard updates live, showcasing the top-ranked players. Climb to the top and gain bragging rights, plus exclusive in-game rewards (coming soon!). You’ll also be able to view profiles of top players to study their stats and even challenge them to a duel, if you're feeling brave.
To access Ranked Mode, just log in with your Google account and navigate to the “Ranked” tab in the game menu. From there, you’ll be matched with a worthy rival in seconds. Make sure you’ve warmed up in Training or Casual mode before jumping in – the competition in Ranked is fierce!
